Restricted Handling was founded by Glenn Corn and Ryan Fugit, former CIA officers and U.S. Army veterans. We cover Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea through a daily intelligence brief and a weekly national security podcast. Our military and intelligence experience shapes the questions we ask, the sources we turn to, and how we make sense of events.
Glenn Corn
Former CIA senior executive · U.S. Army veteran
Glenn is a retired CIA Senior Intelligence Service officer and U.S. Army veteran with more than three decades of service across intelligence, defense, and foreign affairs. He served as Chief of Station in four overseas assignments and held senior leadership roles at CIA headquarters. His work included leading teams abroad and briefing senior U.S. and foreign officials.
A Russian speaker and graduate of the U.S. Army Russian Institute, Glenn brings deep regional knowledge to RH's coverage. He teaches at the Institute of World Politics and leads Great South Bay.
Ryan Fugit
Former CIA officer · Former U.S. Army Apache pilot
Ryan is a former CIA Directorate of Operations officer and U.S. Army officer. He spent seven years as an AH-64 Apache attack helicopter pilot, including combat service in Afghanistan, before serving eight years in the CIA. His experience spans military operations and intelligence work overseas.
Ryan founded Combat Story to give veterans room to tell their stories in their own words. At Restricted Handling, he brings that same curiosity to conversations with intelligence officers, military leaders, diplomats, and regional experts, asking what happened, how decisions were made, and what we can learn from them.
