Method and limits
This is a selected public-record map, not a complete model of Chinese power. It distinguishes Communist Party bodies, state organs, the Central Military Commission, the People’s Liberation Army, central state-owned enterprises, and private companies.
Chinese official sources establish the roles or activities they display. They are not treated as independent corroboration. Public office, institutional coordination, and a dated public meeting do not establish private influence or control over every decision.
The military layer reflects the formal 28 August 2026 removal of Zhang Youxia and Liu Zhenli from the state CMC. The Joint Staff Department remains on the map as an active institution, while its public permanent leadership is marked unresolved. Every card links to a dossier that can be revised as later sources clarify the structure.
