EXPERIMENTAL VIEW · PUBLIC-RECORD ASSESSMENT

Putin’s circles

Closer rings highlight evidence of personal association. Distance is not a measured influence score. This uses the existing RH roster, not a complete list of Putin’s confidants.

  1. 01

    Personal ties / close allies

Dated evidence of personal ties or an attributed close-ally assessment.

  2. 02

    Long-standing working ties

Shared careers and sustained service, not necessarily friendship.

  3. 03

    Personal proximity unassessed

Formal or indirect ties. Outer placement does not mean less trusted.

  4. 04

    Institutions & companies

A separate outer band. Organizations are not ranked for personal closeness.

Historical evidence varies by person

This experimental view asks a different question from an organization chart: what does the public record establish about each person’s relationship with Putin?

    What this does not establish

Rings are qualitative editorial groupings. They are not intelligence-derived scores, a complete list of confidants, or a verified ranking of access today.

Documented connections in the original RH map

How placement works. Ring 1 uses specific evidence of personal association or an attributed close-ally assessment. Ring 2 uses a documented long-standing working connection. The remaining people are explicitly unassessed for personal proximity. Angular position and ordering within a ring mean nothing; line style on the rings separates categories, not relationships.

Dated evidence, not a current inner-circle claim. Prototype reviewed 13 September 2026. Personal-relationship evidence here dates from 2011–2022 or refers to earlier careers. Role labels are inherited from the RH network’s 31 August 2026 record and were not revalidated for this experiment.

      Method and limits

This is a selected public-record map, not a complete model of Russian power. Connections are included only when the cited material supports the relationship as labeled. Public meetings show documented contact on a date. They do not establish private influence, direction, or continuing access.

Peskov was added and his official biography reviewed on 13 September 2026. Other relationships retain their individual source dates and were not comprehensively revalidated by this update. Deceased figures are kept in their own historical view.

When a dossier is added for an entity already on this map, its matching card and detail panel receive the dossier link automatically.
