HISTORICAL LAYER · 13 SEPTEMBER 2021 TO 13 SEPTEMBER 2026

Different relationships. A clearly dated record.

Eight deceased people and one living reference node, Putin. The groups organize the evidence; distance does not rank intimacy. Chekalov connects through Prigozhin. Maganov and the senior state officials are wider institutional connections, not automatically personal confidants.

Inclusion does not imply a suspicious death or responsibility by Putin. Deaths after reported illness appear alongside contested circumstances. Each dossier separates the death record from the historical relationship.

  • Solid blue: formal office
  • Dashed gray: historical institutional association
  • Dashed pink: dated contact

Method and limits

This is a selected public-record map, not a complete model of Russian power. Connections are included only when the cited material supports the relationship as labeled. Public meetings show documented contact on a date. They do not establish private influence, direction, or continuing access.

This is a selected starting set, not a census of all deceased Russian elites. The death window is 13 September 2021 through 13 September 2026 inclusive. Historical connections may precede that window. Starovoit is dated by reported discovery of his body rather than an independently established time of death.

Deaths outside the stated window are not counted. Political opponents are not included solely because they died during Putin’s rule.
